Citizens and permanent residents of Sri Lanka can apply for the various scholarship programs listed in Australian government scholarship web site. Australian Scholarships offer educational and professional development awards to citizens of the Asia-Pacific region, including Sri Lanka. According to their web site, these opportunities support growth in the region and build enduring links at the individual, institutional and country levels.

I’m Tajmoh, SRI LANKA
I have completed my BTECH Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economy at British College of Applied Studies in Sri Lanka last month.
Due to the Tsunami catastrophe i could not sit my Advanced Level Examination. i lost my whole belongings and few relatives in this disaster. Any how i determined to face the challenges and become a good professional. for this purpose i have worked some where and earned some money and with the help of banking loan i lead my BTECH HND studies in a private sector. i did not fail to show my color also at their and completed my BTECH HND QS&CE with Merit Pass. i obtained “A” pass in English in the G.C.E. O/L examination and completed a one year full time course at the Technical college of Sri Lanka in National Certificate in English for commerce and further studies (NCE) with merit pass and Diploma in English a@ South Eastern university of Sri Lanka.
I’m a student with good academic and extra curricular activities.i was key player for wins in 2000 All Island Leather Ball Cricket Tournament in my school and we were the Champion. since 1999 i have playing Leather ball cricket and represent many club in our area. .
As a Quantity Surveying Student I’m quiet interesting in full fill my degree and master and more.But the thing is my interests are being restricted by my economic conditions and living under the breadline. my father was only the breadwinner and now he aged and looks after by me.
now i am working in a Engineering Company for my experience and look after my family.
Hence, I would like to have Scholarship to Study in Australia.So, I would prefer to know such scholarships opportunities available there in 2012.

I’m final year Marketing Student of University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Class of 2011).I’m following B.Sc.Marketing Management (special)degree & maintaining a Second Upper Degree Level.I hope with this final year results i could be able to achieve First Class Degree.
For the sake of Sri Lanka free education system i was able to do my studies at the best.I got 9A’s and 1B for my O/L (B for Dancing) and A’s for A/L.
I’m a student with good academic and extra curricular activities.I was a Head Prefect of my School.
As a Marketing student I’m quiet interesting in studying Marketing.But the thing is my interests are being restricted by my economic conditions.Although I would prefer to follow MBA or CIM course after my degree (December 2011) I face economic difficulties.

I’m Mr.Sivapalan.Gawsalyan from Jaffna, Sri Lanka, a developing country but with great concern in studies, I would like to study Aerospace Engineering which is my dream field, because my country has lack of Aeronautic Engineers. So, I think it will be have a potential employment opportunity in near future.
Even though my country is providing me free education facility to study Engineering in the best Engineering faculty in the island, University of Moratuwa, because of my excellent results, I compelled to study abroad as we didn’t have Aerospace Engineering courses in Sri Lankan Universities. So, I prefer to continue my studies in Australia, because on my personal point of view it is a pleasant land to continue my higher studies.
And I also prefer to have any scholarships that will give by any Universities as I’m having a little bit of financial pressure.
I’m also the Senior Prefect of my school in 2009/10 named St.John’s College, Jaffna which is one of the leading school in Sri Lanka and holding 187 years of tradition. I’m also the member of LEO club.
I have successfully completed my Sri Lankan GCE A/L with excellent results. I got A for Combined Mathematics, Chemistry A, Physics A and General English A, and I also became 11th in District level.
I had my O/L results as follows..
Mathematics -A, Science & Technology – A, Social Studies – A, English – A, Geography – A, ICT -A, Tamil -A, Religion – A, Art -A and English Literature – C.
I’m also following CIMA fundamental level that will finish in last dates December 2010 or January 2011 which I strongly believe that it will support my professional career in future.
I have awarded a gold medal for Scholastic Excellence in GCE O/L and me also holding more than 70 certificates from my school activities.
I have become 2nd in the All Island Art Competition at BMICH Colombo in 2007, so I can pretend that I draw well.
I have got Silver Medal in Physics Olympiad Exams conducted island wise by the All Island Olympiad committee.
I have also got gold medal for IT at University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka and became first in the district level Young Inventers Program for creating an Encyclopedia using Visual Basic 6.0. And I also wish to tell, I’m maintaining my personal website http://www.gawsalyan.webs.com. So, you don’t need to have any doubts about my IT knowledge.
So, I think I’m well enough qualified to continue my studies as Aerospace Engineer in any Australian Universities. As you know, even though I have been selected to the Moratuwa University Engineering Faculty which is the best in the island, I’m keen in studying Aerospace Engineering in Australia.
So, I urge you to please grant me the either scholarship or application to study there.
